Florian Pellissier Quintet – Elegance and Vanguard of French Jazz

Formed in 2001, the Florian Pellissier Quintet is an anomaly of loyalty and evolution in the contemporary jazz landscape. Led by pianist Florian Pellissier, the group maintains its original lineup: Yoann Loustalot (trumpet), Christophe Panzani (saxophone), Yoni Zelnik (double bass), and David Georgelet (drums).

This stability has allowed the quintet to develop a unique sound characterized by an insatiable curiosity that has led them to collaborate with icons such as Iggy Pop or Archie Shepp. Their music is a laboratory where classic hard bop coexists with groove, electronics, and world music—stretching from Africa to South America.
