Ibrahim Maalouf is a French-Lebanese trumpeter, composer, arranger, and producer, widely recognized for integrating contemporary jazz aesthetics with the modal structures of the Arabic maqām using the quarter-tone trumpet.

Trained at the Paris Conservatory after beginning his studies under the guidance of his father, Nassim Maalouf, his career spans classical music, jazz, film scoring, and collaborations with global figures such as Wynton MarsalisQuincy JonesAngélique Kidjo, and Sting.

His compositional work is distinguished by rhythmic exploration, the incorporation of large-scale brass sections, and the development of educational initiatives focused on democratizing and expanding microtonal instruments.
