ALAMAR – Ana Carla Maza
ALAMAR is the fourth album by Cuban cellist, singer, and songwriter Ana Carla Maza, released in March 2026 under her own label, ACM Global Music.
The album consists of nine original compositions recorded at Studios Lautaro, a family studio built by her father, the guitarist and composer Carlos Maza. Ana performs cello and vocals without electronic processing, accompanied by Milly Pérez on piano and Jay Kalo on drums and percussion.
The repertoire integrates bolero, habanera, son, cha-cha-chá, bossa nova, and jazz into a personal and coherent language, sung in Spanish, French, Portuguese, and English.
The writing stems from family memory —the neighborhood of Alamar in Havana, the Chilean exile, the meeting of her parents— and transforms it into contemporary sonic material.
