Domo Branch – Drummer and Composer

Domo Branch is an American drummer, composer, and educator based between New York City and Portland, Oregon, whose musical voice bridges the tradition of swing and hard bop with the sensibilities of contemporary jazz.

His background as a performer and composer includes collaborations with prominent international figures such as Wynton Marsalis, the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, Terence Blanchard, Stefon Harris, Dianne Reeves, Sean Jones, and Catherine Russell.

Through his projects as a leader and studio recordings—starting with his debut We Are Made (2022) featuring Stefon Harris and continuing with Hand of Gifts (2025)—Domo Branch has developed a melodic language applied to percussion, where the drum kit functions as a narrative and structural voice within the ensemble.
