In The Key Of K is the debut studio album by Kaisa’s Machine, the ensemble led by Finnish double bassist and composer Kaisa Mäensivu, originally released via Eclipse Music.

The album features a quartet including Max Zenger on saxophone, Mikael Myrskog on piano, and Jonatan Sarikoski on drums. This classic instrumentation is put at the service of a sound that modernizes sixties post-bop codes under a contemporary sensibility.

The compositions, fully crafted by Mäensivu during her time in the New York scene, alternate between dynamic, progressive structures and introspective movements, balancing formal complexity with a rock-solid swing.
