Juniper – Slowly Rolling Camera

Juniper is the third studio album by British project Slowly Rolling Camera, released via Edition Records. This work marks a pivotal aesthetic turning point for the group, consolidating their transition toward a strictly instrumental format and an expanded ensemble setup. The production articulates Dave Stapleton’s keyboard compositions alongside Deri Roberts’ electronic design and Elliot Bennett’s rhythmic grooves.

To bring this repertoire to life, the creative core enlists key figures from the European scene, such as guitarist Stuart McCallum, saxophonists Mark Lockheart and Nicolas Kummert, and trumpeter Neil Yates, additionally featuring contributions from Aidan Thorne, James Copus, Tom Barford, and Sam Glaser.

The album is structured around a hybridization of genres ranging from modal jazz to minimalism and live techno dynamics, all bound by a panoramic, cinematic sonic narrative.
