Mystic Suite – Atlantis Jazz Ensemble

Mystic Suite is the third album by Atlantis Jazz Ensemble, where the group develops an approach centered on spiritual and modal jazz from a contemporary perspective.

The album is built around a core lineup integrating trumpet, alto saxophone, electric piano, double bass, and drums, expanded with tenor saxophone and additional percussion. This configuration allows for a rhythmic and timbral expansion that articulates the sound across multiple interdependent layers. The compositions are organized around modal structures, polyrhythms, and progressive developments that prioritize collective interaction and formal fluidity.

Elements of soul jazz, the Afro-diasporic tradition, and contemporary improvisation are integrated into a unified framework.
