Patricia Brennan is a prominent Mexican-born vibraphonist, marimbist, improviser, and composer, born in Veracruz and based in New York City. Her musical language sits at the forefront of contemporary jazz, connecting a rigorous classical academic background with the expressive freedom of improvised music and New York's experimental aesthetics.

Her technical training includes early studies in Mexico, international tours with the Youth Orchestra of the Americas, and formal specialization at the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. After consolidating a solid career as a symphonic percussionist, Brennan shifted her conceptual focus toward the vibraphone and marimba as vehicles for pure improvisation, developing a signature sound based on extended techniques, spatial dynamics, and a subtle electronic processing of her instruments.

Leader of projects such as her solo performance Maquishti, the quartet More Touch, and the Patricia Brennan Septet, she has received unanimous acclaim from international publications including DownBeat and The New York Times.
