Sven Wunder – Composer and Multi-Instrumentalist

Sven Wunder is the artistic project of Swedish composer, arranger, and multi-instrumentalist Joel Nils Danell, whose work connects jazz, library music, psychedelia, orchestral arrangements, and cinematic composition.

Trained as a double bassist and raised in a family closely connected to jazz, he spent part of his early career composing music for film and television before creating Sven Wunder as an independent space for his instrumental work.

From Doğu Çiçekleri / Eastern Flowers to Wabi Sabi, Natura Morta, Late Again, and Daybreak, his discography explores different musical traditions through precise arrangements, acoustic instrumentation, and a strongly visual aesthetic.

Together with John Henriksson, he runs Piano Piano Records, a platform through which he has built a catalogue where composition, music production, and visual direction operate as parts of the same artistic identity.
