The Guesthouse – Shai Maestro

The Guesthouse is the eighth studio album by pianist and composer Shai Maestro, released via Naïve Records. This work represents a conscious departure from his previous recordings, integrating a multidisciplinary vision that blends contemporary jazz with electronic production tools and songwriting.

Inspired by Rumi’s poem of the same name, the project serves as a space of hospitality for various international collaborations. The album brings together a cast including vocalists Michael Mayo, MARO, and Alon Lotringer, alongside saxophonist Immanuel Wilkins and an expanded rhythm section.

Musically, the record navigates between progressive structures, intimate improvisational passages, and constant timbral exploration, solidifying Maestro as one of the most restless and ambitious voices in modern jazz piano.
